History:
Avalon is a British furniture manufacturer which was located in Yatton, Somerset, they originally operated under the name Wake & Dean and Yatton Furniture.
In bygone eras, the village of Yatton primarily supported an agricultural workforce however, during the Industrial Revolution, the furniture maker Avalon opened a workshop. Originally making items such as church pews and school desks, they later diversified into office and home furniture and became more experimental with their designs.
